A word from our Director of Football, Jonny Routledge:
“As 2024 is coming to an end, I want to firstly thank everyone who has been involved in a footballing sense through the season. It wasn’t as successful as we had hoped it would be but a lot of effort went into it so I would like to personally say thank you to everyone involved for their efforts. The club did have success with the under 19s being promoted to the top tier of their competition for the upcoming 2025 season. The players involved performed admirably and deservedly celebrated their success. Everyone at the club has put in a lot of hard work over the summer months to put us in the best possible position to carry the momentum from the under 19s success into the 2025 senior season. Whilst there is still a lot of hard work to go, we are in a strong position with key coaching positions in place before the new year. With a core group of players in place we are excited to see some of the new talent in the area and see it come together on the pitch. I look forward to seeing you all next season.”
A word from our Chair of Papamoa Football Club, Maaka Nelson:
"It's going to be an exciting year for this upcoming season. Our new facilities are all but in and the further new developments nearly confirmed with start dates. It's been a bit of a minefield and extremely time confusing to navigate everything, notwithstanding the constant change within council. The growth of the club continues at circa 7% PA with an expected membership of 935 players in season 2025. It's going to be a big year for a number of reasons."
Field Charging and Facility Charging.
After a few back and forths it has now been confirmed that both field and facility charging will be in play for the 2025 season. None of this is cheap and outside the cost to actually operate the clubrooms with staff, the estimated increase over and above existing expenditure will be circa $16,000.00 PA with the largest portpotionarte increase being in seniors space.
