Registration and Season
Players aged 16 and over have the opportunity to choose to play senior football should they desire. Senior Football plays on Saturday afternoons with an evening training mid week. Details on Senior football can be FOUND HERE
Registrations FOR YOUTH are open and will cut off late March. Any registrations after this date will be considered if spaces are still available in that relevant grade.
The 2025 season will begin at the end of April or start of May and fixtures will be available once teams have been registered during April.
Pre-Season training/ Open Sessions
We are excited to announce the start of the CDS season with training commencing.
The(Community Development Squads) CDS U19s (for players turning 16 to 19 in 2025) will have trials on THURSDAY 27TH FEB and THURSDAY 6TH March between 5:30pm-6:30pm on Field 10A @Gordon Spratt Reserve. This team will be coached by Blair Fraser again. Blair has just recently been through the NZ Football C Licence course.
Our CDS under 15s group begin trials on THURSDAY 6TH MARCH m and 6pm. Mike Severn will be coaching this group this year.
MemberShip Fees
Players have 2 options when registering to play. These are A, selecting the full payment option or B, selecting Time Payment (players will select the inital time payment fee and the club book keeper will then re occur this invoice in our accounting programme (Xero) a further 2 times) Time payment option incurs an administration fee.
Refunds
Should players who register and later choose not to participate then a refund of full fees paid less a $10 admin fee will apply.
Should players who register and who have subsequently been allocated to a team are able to be issued a club refund of fees paid to date less a $25 admin fee.
A full credit of fees paid to date can be loaded against the players profile in lieu and this is the clubs preference.
It is a time consuming process to refund via bank transfer and providing a credit to the profile is an easier and simplier solution. Due to us being a not for profit and under the new incorporated societies act it is a 4 person process to refund via bank transfer.
Teams
Players wll be allocated into teams noting 2 seperate age bands. players turning 14 and 15 will be grouped together in an U15 League where players aged between 16 and 19(Called Baywide Youth) will be grouped together in other teams(s)
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SQUAD (CDS) YOUTH ( Subject to numbers )
For 2025 Papamoa FC will hold trials for an U15 team and an U19 team to be played in the Waibop Youth Leagues. Further information can be obtained by emailing hello@papamoafootballclub.co.nz
Teams
Outside of teams that are trialled - the club does its best to try and keep players together but it must be noted that
* as players age and teams get larger and move on to larger fields being 5 a side, 7 a side, 9 a side and to 11 a side then teams must change.
* some players do not continue and
* new players to the club must be accommodated
* players registering later are harder to accomodate to existing teams as allocation of teams does begin as registrations come through. It is more likely you will have a larger group of previous players in a team if you register early.
