At the back end of 2022 NZ Football realigned its football competitions to create a linear pathway across the country. This saw a restructure in football leagues, not only in NRFL but also our local WaiBop Leagues.
With this restructure Papamoa FC was promoted into the NRFL Southern Conference for 2023. This meant for the first time the club was involved directly in the NZ Football Linear Pyramid.
WaiBop also began restructing locally and began to implement rules around the transferance of players between club teams. This meant players were more limited than they had been in the past around playing for more than 1 team at the club every other Saturday.
To support the linear pathway, the Papamoa FC Board has approved the implementation of structural changes to how it operates Bay League football and with immediate effect the club will begin to implement selected linear teams.
For 2024 Papamoa FC will appoint and select players and coaches for our Papamoa FC Bay 1 and Bay 2 sides who will have a working relationship with our NRFL players, teams and coaches.
The club will only have 1 team in each of these divisions. Other players will be included within our Bay 3 and O35 squads.
2024 will be one of transition as we move to our own new facilities with additional fields.

Pre Season Training starts: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 6 @6.45PM (FIELDS 8/9/10)
Training commitment: Twice a week.
Training Location: Gordon Spratt Reserve
Games: NRFL and subsequent NRFL Reserve League
Season: Begins Late March with season completing late August or early September
KO: 12.30pm(Reserves) and 3pm for first team
