Our 8th grade programme is dedicated to Fun Football and is open to boys born in 2015 & Girls born in 2015 & 2016. Fun Football continues the journey of the five part structure incorporating the general movement, technique and coordination skills learned in the Mini Moas programme, but spending some more time in the small sided game space to start the cognitive function of making decisions quickly and learning the basic rules of the game.
The players will again follow the Papamoa FC framework designed for 8th grade football. It will concentrate on multiple group drills in 2v1, 3v1 or 4v1 scenarios, skill techniques, decision making and will incorporate safe zones to provide players the opportunity to assess their next moves. These skills will provide them key learnings to move to the next grade.
Playing time (in process of being updated) - subject to change (5 v 5)
The Mighty Moas may play both interclub games and games against other clubs on Saturday mornings. More information will be provided once registrations are closed.
Season commencement: Saturday 29th April 2023

Equipment
To participate in the Mighty Moa sessions, all players must have the following playing gear, which is compulsory.
Parents are responsible for purchasing the full kit.

Team Photos
Papamoa FC will be holding team photos once everyone has their kit (Time and day TBC). Players wishing to participate will require to have full kit as stated above please. Playing tops are to be new logo only.
